Do you remember getting a chocolate bunny in your Easter basket? It was always the best when your parents threw down all little extra cash and went for the solid milk chocolate.  Of course that was great until we decided it was a good idea to eat the whole thing in one setting! Oh gawd, I'm getting woozy just thinking about it. Anyway, according to the Portland Press Herald, our Maine candy making friends at Haven's Candies in Westbrook have created a confection to out do any giant solid chocolate bunny from our childhood. This thing is a monster! It's Haven's Candies 100th Anniversary this year and to celebrate, they've made what they hope to be, the largest chocolate sculpture in the world. Easter is over half a year away, so they didn't make a gargantuan chocolate bunny. They did however build something that represents Maine in the best possible way. It's 418 pound milk chocolate lobster called "Shelby", named after former owner, Shelby Putnam. "Shelby" is wicked long too, measuring 7 and 1/2 feet. Haven's has officially submitted the giant chocolate lobster to the Guinness Book of World Records.

I wonder how many chocolate bunnies were sacrificed to make Shelby?
