3 Killed in Two Fatal Crashes Friday [UPDATE]
Police have identified the three people killed in two separate accidents on Friday.
Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release that Aundria St. Amand, 18 of South China, died when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. She was killed instantly. Investigators are working to try and determine why she veered off Stone Road.
The second accident happened on Route 1 in the commercial district of Waldoboro. Police Chief Bill Lombarde said in a press release that Edward Bean, 63 of Waldoboro was headed south on Atlantic Highway when his vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with another vehicle. The two people in that car were killed instantly. There's no word on Bean's condition.
All police are saying about the victims, at this point, is that it's a couple from Massachusetts. Investigators are working to determine what caused that crash.
