A Nugget of Wisdom from the New Farmer’s Almanac 2016!
This is our friend Peter Geiger, editor of the Farmer's Almanac. Peter was in the Blimp studio recently to walk us through some of the 2016 farmer's Almanac. It is filled with great stuff!
For instance:
This is the 240th year of independence of the United States of America.
To keep wine cold, add some frozen grapes to your glass. Unlike ice cubes, they won't dilute the flavor of your wine.
Before packing up your tent for the winter, put some kitty litter in a sock, tie the top and store it in your tent bag to help prevent mold and mustiness.
Mouthwash is a great germ killer so rinse your toothbrush in it now and then.
Avoid blisters from raking by wrapping a sponge around the handle and securing it with a rubber band.
Blow leaves out of your gutters by attaching some PVC pipe to your blower.
This is just the tip of the iceberg! The Farmer's Almanac has so much great information, and it's so entertaining. Check it out to find your Meteorologist name!
It's cloudy and 57 intown Portland.
