AC/DC are expanding their alcoholic beverage empire. The group has created its own line of signature spirits called Thunderstruck Tequila.

BevNET is reporting that the band, via their licensing and merchandise partners Epic Rights and Perryscope Productions, have joined forces with Fabrica de Tequilas Finos to create three tequilas -- silver, reposado and añejo -- that are scheduled to arrive in stores later this year. It is expected that a bottle will cost between $29.99 and $39.99.

Thunderstruck Tequila marks AC/DC's latest venture into the beverage industry, having created its own beer and wine in recent years, as well as an energy drink called, naturally, High Voltage. Earlier this year, they announced a bourbon and cola combination, with some of the profits slated for their Let There Be Rock Fund, which is dedicated to helping Australian musicians.

Located in the town of Tequila, Mexico, Fabrica de Tequilas Finos has been in business since 1905. Their handcrafted tequilas are produced in an environmentally friendly state-of-the-art distillery and made from organically produced 100 percent Blue Weber Agave.

Tomorrow (June 12) marks the end of AC/DC's European leg on the Rock or Bust tour, which saw Axl Rose fronting the band in place of Brian Johnson, who has had to step down due to issues with his hearing. In late-August, they will return to the U.S. for 10 more dates spread out over three weeks. Angus Young has said that Rose wants to keep performing with the band, but Young and the other band members have not yet decided on what their next move will be.
