The Red Sox had no answer for Cubs starter Jake Arrieta. For eight and two-thirds innings he was nearly perfect - no hits, just one walk. That's when Sox shortstop Stephen Drew broke up the no-hitter with a single to rightfield.

That hit and one more in the ninth is all the offense the Sox could muster as they lose to the Cubbies 2-0.

Chicago's Nate Schierholtz cracked a 2-run homer off Jake Peavy and that was all the offense needed.

Jake Peavy was a tough luck loser, pitching the first six innings giving up those two runs and striking out seven.
