Augusta Teacher on Hell’s Kitchen

I was psyched to see the news that someone who teaches in my hometown is going to be on the new season of Hell's Kitchen on FOX! According to the Kennebec Journal, Heidi Parent is a culinary arts teacher at the Capital Area Technical Center in Augusta but who knows for how long? She works with my fellow Cony alum, Valerie Arbour. Val told the Kennebec Journal that Heidi relates well to the kids saying, “She’s going to be on national television, she’s got the tattoos and the kids look at her like she’s one of them.” (By the way, Val and I used take dance lessons together with the great, Kathie Jamison (Cote) back in the 70s.) Anyhow, we are wicked excited to see how Heidi holds up to the heat of Gordon Ramsay and proudly represents Maine on Hell's Kitchen! Go Heidi, Go!!

The new season starts next week on September 23rd.
