Herb considers himself luckiest guy in the world to be able to captain one of the greatest rock stations in the USA! That's why the call him "The Captain," right? He's been on the Blimp for over 30 years, and no two days have ever been the same. He calls Blimp listeners “friends I’ve never met,” and it’s true as they share a common bond of living in Maine and a passion for Rock and Roll. He also enjoys working with so many local charities and businesses as well. He's wicked proud to represent Townsquare Media as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Maine Association of Broadcasters and as a board member of NESCom at Husson University.

Do You Remember When New England Patriot Sony Michel Visited Portland, Maine?
We were sad to hear that Patriot fan-favorite Sony Michel has been traded to the LA Rams. The Pats are stacked with good, young running back talent, so we get the trade. But we LOVE SONY! He was great to Patriots Nation, and to the folks in Portland who got to spend a very special evening with Number 26. Sony visited Portland right after his first Super Bowl win back in 2019.
Poor “Fran From Bethel” Can’t Catch A Break
Do you remember Fran from Bethel? Back in the spring of 2020, Fran had to put a sign on her rental car as to not tick off her fellow Mainers. Back when the pandemic first started, and Maine was pretty much shut down, we REALLY didn't want anyone from away coming into the state and messing up our low COVID rates. Especially if they were from New Jersey and New York. Poor Fran got a lot of flak for riding around in a rental with Jersy plates on and had to post a sign telling everyone if was just HER.

Now, the situation down in the South is that everyone seems and talks REALLY friendly. Much more so than up here. And I think all that friendliness is kinda freaking Bob Marley out.
