One of my family’s favorite nearby places to visit is Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in South Portland. It’s a pretty good little workout to get from the shore at SMCC across the rugged rocky breakwater to the lighthouse. Once you get there, it really is breathtaking standing next to a Portland Harbor Lighthouse that’s been around for over 100 years surrounded by the unique Maine beauty of Casco Bay. The creative local folks at Wingspan Audio Visual shot a very cool 360 degree video of Spring Point Ledge at sunrise.

Click anywhere and drag to explore a beautiful first light at this gorgeous Southern Maine vista. It’s almost like you’re really there turning your head left to right, up and down watching the dawn of a new day. It kept this guy busy for a bit.
