My kids look like they are running away from home, but they are just on their way to school! Students are lugging around so much stuff: books, lunches, iPads, sports equipment, water bottles, and their "stuff" that they can't go without. We've ordered a rolling backpack for Belly and The Short Kid doesn't actually wear hers, she just loads it with stuffies and toys and drags it around the house. As necessary as they are for kids, these behemoths do have consequences. The health effects of the wrong backpack can lead to a lot of ache and discomfort for your student. Here are some backpack tips for parents and kids.

Is your kids backpack out of control? What weird thing do they not need but carry with them anyway? Facebook us #fatbackpack, or tweet us.

That one shoulder strap look is really bad for necks and shoulders!
