Kohlrabi, beet yogurt, hummus, pistachios, everything smoked, anything fermented, smaller portions and oysters. These are just some of 2015's predicted food trends. Bacon will never really go away, but this year it will take a back burner after being the center of the universe in 2014. When I saw bacon toothpaste I knew we had jumped the culinary shark. I'm ready to move on to the next thing, as long as it isn't brussel sprouts. Wait,...didn't I just type beet yogurt?! Ick!!! Despite my feelings about some of the predicted food trends, I feel a responsibility to let you know what's heading our way in 2015. I found a great video of a simple hummus recipe. Maybe I'll try making it with the kids this week. Getting ahead of the trend!

Looks pretty easy, and tastier than a savory yogurt. Hey yogurt! Stay in your lane! You should taste like strawberries or peaches, not butternut squash!
