After an impressive week of practices with the Washington Redskins, the New England Patriots were anything but in their 23-6 preseason loss.The Patriots played a game filled with mistakes, missed opportunities, and little results from their offense. Many of the Patriots starters did not play in the game including quarterback Tom Brady. Starter Ryan Mallet completed just 5 of 12 passes for 55 yards. Third string rookie QB Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 157 yards and the only score of the game.

Rookie Malcom Butler led the defense with 6 tackles.

The Pats will play their next preseason game at home against the Eagles next Friday.
