He was born Edward Lodewijk Van Halen January 26, 1955 in the Netherlands. He is hands down one of the greatest and most influential guitar players that has ever walked the earth.  Happy 64th Birthday to Eddie Van Halen!

Rolling Stone magazine has him ranked at number 8 on the list of 100 Greatest Guitarists. Okay we're told Eddie was born in the Netherlands but, his talent is absolutely not of this Earth. Whatever planet he’s from, everybody there plays guitar!

Eddie Van Halen has melted Mainers faces live in concert 10 times from 1978 (opening for Sabbath) to 2015! We count an even 5 shows with Diamond David Lee Roth on the mic and 5 shows with Sammy Hagar. Thanks for comin' dudes!
