Pink Floyd entered Abbey Road Studios in London for day two of work on their debut album, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, today  in 1967. The Beatles were across the hall recording the giant piano chord for A Day In the Life. Pretty heavy eh? We celebrated that historic event today on the BLM Psychedelic Breakfast.

Here’s the entire playlist for February 22, 2014.

David Bowie “Across The Universe”, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers feat. Peter Green “The Same Way”, Tame Impala “Sun’s Coming Up”, Pink Floyd “Interstellar Overdrive”, The Beatles “Fixing A Hole”, The Moving Sidewalks “You Make Me Shake”, Jimi Hendrix Experience “Wait Until Tomorrow”, Ultimate Spinach “Gilded Lamp Of The Cosmos”, Donovan “Atlantis”, Quicksilver Messenger Service “Dino’s Song”, Neil Young “Cowgirl In The Sand”(Live At Massey Hall), Big Star “Thirteen”, CCR “Susie Q”, Uriah Heep “Sweet Lorraine”, The Zombies “Time Of The Season”, Johnny & Edgar Winter “Frankenstein”(Live at Royal Albert Hall), Pink Floyd “Astronomy Domine”, The Beatles “Good Morning, Good Morning”, “Sgt. Pepper’s Reprise”, “A Day In The Life”, Jefferson Airplane “Embryonic Journey”, The Grateful Dead “Sugar Magnolia”(Europe ’72)

Thanks for tuning in and turning on! Tommy C is your host next Saturday to kick off our 3rd Anniversary of waking up weird.

Here’s a great video from The BBC in 1967 of Pink Floyd being interviewed by a gentleman who clearly doesn’t get it. It also includes a performance of “Astronomy Domine”, enjoy!
