Happy Birthday to the son of a rock legend who also has a pretty impressive resume of his own.

Jason Bonham who’s father is Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, turns 50 today.  In 1988, he was officially brought into the Zep lexicon playing drums for Jimmy Page on his Outrider tour and also performing with the surviving members at the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary Concert in NYC. He has also worked with Heart, Foreigner, Paul Rodgers, and Sammy Hagar, as well as his own band Bonham. Jason was the obvious choice for the reunion of Led Zeppelin at London’s O2 Arena in 2007. Obvious because of his incredible talent as well as his birthright. Last year in May, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience rocked Blimpsters at the State Theatre in Portland, playing all of Zep I and Zep II…what a show!

If you love Jason’s epic performance of Stairway to Heaven with Heart at the Kennedy Center Honors, you gotta see this one too!
