So just how bad is it going for the Boston Bruins down the stretch? They outshot the New Jersey Devils 40-15 but lose the game 2-1.

The only good news from the night came from a Montreal win over Detroit 4-3. That keeps the B's one point ahead of the Red Wings for third place in the division.

There are just five games left in the season, including the next two tough road games - at St.Louis and Chicago.

Just like a year ago, the Bruins playoff push may come down to the final game on April 9th.
