The Boston Bruins struggles on offense continues to be a problem, and one that cost them another shootout in a 2-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.Boston is winless in their last three games, two in shootouts and the other in overtime. On Sunday the Bruins were able to tie the game in the second period on Patrice Bergeron's eighth goal of the season. That would turn out to be the last goal until the shootout when Eric Staal scored the game winner for the Hurricanes. Reilly Smith, Torey Krug and Patrice Bergeron each came up empty on their shootout attempts.

The loss spoiled a pretty good game by Tuukka Rask who stopped 34 Carolina shots in the game.

Boston will try to regroup Wednesday when they play the Penguins in Pittsburgh.
