The Red Sox skid continued as they dropped another game to the Texas Rangers by a score of 6-2.

The scoring got off in the first inning as the Rangers knocked in three runs off of Sox starter Clay Bucholz.  The right-hander would settle down until the sixth inning and would be relieved after 5.1 innings pitched, allowing four earned runs, seven hits allowed, and five walks.  Heath Hembree would also give up another run in the seven inning in his lone frame for Boston.

Bryce Brenz would launch his first career home run in the contest and finished the afternoon going 2-3 with an RBI and a run.

The Sox now find themselves with a 41-34 record and are currently four games back of the Baltimore Orioles who swept the Tampa Bay Rays in four games.  Next up for Boston is a three game road series with the Rays from Tropicana Field starting tomorrow.
