OK, this whole crazy, stupid Deflategate has gotten out of hand...and confusing! To explain it all to you we figured we would put it to song. A little ditty we call "Soft Balls." With apologies to AC/DC and thanks to Slater's Garage for this one!
We got official word this week that AC/DC will perform at the Grammy Awards. Historically, the Grammys haven't been the best at featuring rock bands. The night is usually dominated by pop acts. Maybe AC/DC should
Over the weekend my buddy Peter who lives in NYC sent me a Facebook message about an album release party for AC/DC's Rock or Bust! That would be an amazing bash to attend but it's tomorrow and that's definitely not enough time for me to put together a trip to the Big Apple. Maybe you can though.
Last week I found videos from a guy in Texas who puts on amazing Halloween light displays in his front yard synchronized to Ozzy's Crazy Train and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Now I've found a guy in Illinois who has an equally cool massive production.
It's Day 3 of 20 Albums in 20 Days! And this one is a real doozy for a Friday. AC/DC Back in Black was released on July 25 1980. It was the first album recorded without Bon Scott, who died earlier that year. Back in Black was dedicated to him.
The guy in the photo above was the drummer for AC/DCon one album, 1990's The Razor's Edge. His name is Chris Slade and his resume also includes bangin' the skins for Manfred Mann's Earth Band and The Firm. He left the band in 1994 and was replaced by original timekeeper, Phil Rudd. AC/DC's The Razor's Edge was released worldwide 24 years ago today featuring Moneytalks and Thunderstruck.
AC/DC's Who Made Who was released in May of 1986. It was also the soundtrack to the Stephen King movie Maximum Overdrive. Remember that one? It starred Emilio Estevez and featured everything from trucks to lawnmowers becoming possessed and murdering people.
