I’m back at Gritty’s in Auburn today for another 'Last Friday' live broadcast of the WBLM Afternoon Express! We love coming back to our roots and sharing memories with area Blimpsters who have been with us since the beginning. Of course the biggest ‘remember when’ stories are all the great concerts that came to Lewiston/Auburn back in the day.
We all love the incredible range and powerful, pitch-perfect vocals of the great Freddie Mercury. Nowhere is his unmatched talent more evident then when all the instruments are stripped away and we are focused solely on that voice. Or as we learned in high school chorus...A-Cappella!
It’s ROCKTOBER on BLM! And that means that all month long, we spotlight the Artist of the Day. We’ll be diggin’ deeper into the BLM A to Z Archives while you rock at work for songs you love, from the bands you worship…

Last week I found videos from a guy in Texas who puts on amazing Halloween light displays in his front yard synchronized to Ozzy's Crazy Train and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Now I've found a guy in Illinois who has an equally cool massive production.
Her name is Shaqaila Uelese. In the past week, she has become an internet sensation. She saw this piano on the street with Play Me painted on it and decided to follow the instructions. And man, are we glad she did!
