We are lovin' a second gorgeous Maine day in April this week with temps around 50. It's hard to imagine having to shovel and plow again anytime time soon.
Did you think we were out of the woods with snow for the season? Well, it has been one of the warmest March's on record. It sure is starting to feel more like springtime, right? Yes, we all are getting the fever for warmer temps and that smell of fresh mud. It seems a bit tame but my kid has had a good number of snow days off from school. And what about the amount of snow we've had? For that we turn to the pros-the great people at the National Weather Service in Gray who tell us of some interesting trends when it comes to snowfall in Maine from year to year:

Even if you think it does take too long, please don't be lazy. Please remove it. Apparently, not everyone around here is getting the message and making the effort.
Looks like you can finally experience this Maine winter tradition with that buddy that keeps saying you should go. This weekend is the time that just about anyone can try ice fishing for free.
It's a double-shot of inclement weather statewide to wrap the work week. Here's our favorite Canadian weatherman Frankie MacDonald with everything we need to know as we get brace ourselves for Round 2 tomorrow.
