Hopefully, you got to work ok this morning. Pretty much snow all over the area. But the nasty ice, sleet, and rain stuff is coming in for Round Two and the wicked smarty-pants folks at the National Weather Service in Gray have the outlook for us

They've posted a helpful, easy to understand chart that shows us how thick the ice should be to support our weight. In fact, they show us how thick it needs to be from walking on it, to driving a pickup truck on to it.

Another weekend and another week of precipitation. Hey, as long as the mountains are getting snow we're cool with it. According to our friends at the National Weather Service in Gray, we have not yet had a totally dry weekend yet in 2020. Actually, even before Christmas. And it looks like that will continue into next weekend.

The folks at Hudson Bus Lines in Lewiston have a great rig setup to easily clear off the tops of their fleet. The buses line right up and pass under a big frame with a broom type thing on it to get the job done way easier.

Mayor Foley also does a great job of reminding everyone of all the great places to eat and drink in downtown Westbrook if you decide to come check this new beast out. Let's hope it develops as magnificently moon-like as last year's.

Well, after starting 2020 with record-breaking warmth (remember last weekend?) things now seem to be more January-like here in Maine. The storm on Thursday never wanted to end, the bitter cold came in Friday (shutting down some ski mountains) and the storm Saturday into Sunday tacked on some additional inches.
