Celeste Opens Maine’s Golf Season by Hitting a Ball Off the BLM Patio

It's one of the great signs of Spring in Maine. Every year in honor of the Portland Golf Expo, Celeste hits the official "First Ball of the Season" off the BLM Patio at One City Center. It's always fun to watch the people on Monument Square scatter. We even had the Portland Police paddy-wagon circling this year. You don't want to hit them!

The 2016 golf season is already in full swing, as lots of people have already gotten out to play, thanks to warm temperatures.

Here's how it sounded on-air this morning when Celeste cranked one off the Patio. Her best drive in history! And for the record, the shot off the patio is a slight dogleg left up Congress St. Hilarious. FORE!

If you love golf, make sure to hit the Portland Golf Expo this weekend. It's at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. The Expo is giving away 6000 rounds of golf. Plus there will be guest speakers, equipment for cheap and of course, a 19th hole!
