Daddy Gets a Mohawk! [PICS]

This is my husband Mark, with a mohawk that was given to him by a room full of girls, none of whom was in possession of a beautician's license! He is on vacation for the month of August and he promised our 9 year old that she could give him a mohawk. We had breakfast and then busted out the clippers! Two 9 year olds and a 5 year old were giddy at the thought of giving him a haircut. I stood guard to make sure they didn't accidently take off his eyebrows too. I'll admit, this seemed like a terrible idea...

Mark 's hair grows crazy quick, he let it go for a while to prepare for his mohawk, with the constant reassurance to me that it would grow out before returning to work at Idexx in a few weeks.

I think that it started hitting him at around this point as his hair started falling onto his shoulder. My challenge was keeping the clippers going in a vertical direction!

Our Samoyed, Shayla, knows the sound of clippers from going to the vet. She was very concerned about Daddy and wondered why we were shaving him!

Sabelle tightened up the sides and it was really taking shape! There was talk of shaving in a lightning bolt, but we decided it was beyond our skill set.

And here it is! I wish he could keep it because it looks really good!

Our short kid acted as the clean up crew and took her job very seriously. I had to exile her to the other side of the room however because she kept trying to sweep him off as we were clipping. Bumping an elbow would have been a bad thing!
