Do Not Return a Call to that Unknown Number!

If you are like me, you are a curious creature who is driven to the edge of insanity by mysterious missed calls. We must be strong! The latest phone scam calls you from area code 473, rings once then hangs up. Sometimes the caller lets it ring long enough for you to answer, moans or makes sounds of being in distress and THEN hangs up! They are trying to bait you into calling back the number. It's an expensive return call, starting at about 20 dollars a minute. This is not the only "ring and run" area code, be on the look out for 809, 284, 649 and 876, which are also international codes running similar scams. Don't let curiosity get the best of you, if you don't recognize a number then don't call it back!
