Do You Know The Maine State Song?

Whatdaya know? The State of Maine has an official song that is not that "16 Counties in Our State." I remember having to learn the 16 counties song in school but never the official state song of Maine.

The song was written by Roger Vinton Snow who came up with the clever title of "State of Maine Song." It was adopted as the official Maine State song in 1937.

I was born and live in Maine for over 40 years and have never heard this song.

Am I the only one that has never heard of this or even knew we had a state song?
