Doc About Pink Floyd Album Cover Artist Comes to Portland [VIDEO]

If you still have an impressive collection of classic rock vinyl at home, chances are the work of Storm Thorgerson graces quite a few of your album covers. 

Along with fellow artists Aubrey Powell and Peter Christopherson, Storm formed the London based art design group, Hipgnosis creating the most iconic album cover art ever. Their art was used most famously on covers for Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy, they also created familiar sleeves for Yes, Bad Company AC/DC, ELO and many more. These album covers became as classic as the music inside them. TAKEN BY STORM a new documentary centered around the genius art work of the late Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis is showing for one night only at Space Gallery in Portland on November 3 at 7:30.
