Dweezil Zappa spent an entire hour with us on Psychedelic Breakfast over the weekend. He is in Portland putting the finishing touches on a live Zappa Plays Zappa DVD due next summer. We played lots of Frank from Apostrophe, the album that will performed in it’s entirety on the forthcoming release. It was a moment in my radio career that I will always cherish. Put it this way, the first time I heard Frank Zappa was on WBLM in the 70s. It was Don't Eat the Yellow Snow. This past Saturday morning, I played that song on the Blimp and Frank's son Dweezil and I listened to it together. Perfect.
Watch this video with my new friend Dweezil Zappa in the WBLM Studio. He'll tell you more about why he was in Portland.
