Our friends at Efficiency Maine are doing great things to help businesses and individuals in Maine save energy and money.  A great place to start is by having an "energy audit" of your home. The Captain decided it was a great idea to do for HIS home. The energy audit is based around something called an Air Leakage Assesment. Check out the cool contraption we set up at the Captain's home. This blower door test depressurizes the home with a large fan to recreate what a house experiences when winds blow outside the house at 20mph. This is a great and easy test to find out how leaky your home is. We were very lucky to have Richard Burbank from Evergreen Home Performance come to the Captain's home to conduct this test. Let's turn this thing on and see what happens!
