EXCLUSIVE: See Photos from Inside AURA (Formerly Asylum)

Here are the very first pictures from inside AURA. Two years ago the owners of ASYLUM in Portland decided they would renovate the 20-year old club. What they have come up with is amazing. A $9 MILLION dollar expansion includes the main music venue that will hold around 1000 for concerts, a Sports bar, Function Rooms and more. The photo above is a photo of the Main Stage. It's state-of-the-art and huge.

You're looking DOWN onto the stage. That's right, there's a balcony that holds 300 people that goes all the way around the stage!

This is the new entrance. Same space as the old ASYLUM entrance but with bigger coat room and lobby bathrooms. To give you reference, the Sports Bar is to the right and entrance to the Main Room to the left.

We are on the side of the Main Stage now. Ahead you can see the second raised level that will be great for sightlines at shows.

Here's the new logo for AURA. Congratulations to owners Valerie Levy, Krista Newman and Laurie Willey. They certainly have given their spot on Free Street in Portland a brand new aura!
