Former UMaine captain Brian Flynn will be on outside ice in Massachusetts again - Friday afternoon in the NHL Winter Classic. The last time Flynn was outdoors he scored the game winning overtime goal for the UMaine Black Bears against UNH at Fenway Park!

Remember Frozen Fenway in 2012? Flynn re-directed a Joey Diamond shot just 89-seconds into overtime for the 5-4 win.

These days, Flynn is a Montreal Canadien. He was traded from Buffalo to the Habs at the trade deadline last season.

Flynn has played in all 37 Montreal games so far. He has four goals and five assists for nine total points.

Flynn spent four years(2008-2012) at UMaine, playing in 153 games and racked up 155 points.

NOTE: Flynn scored a shootout goal in Montreal's 4-3 win at Tampa Bay last night. He scored the goal on former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop.
