Less than two weeks removed from an intense wind storm that left much of the state of Maine powerless, forecasts are again calling for intense winds to return this Friday afternoon.

Keith Carson of WCSH-6 took to Twitter to detail the possibility to wind gusts will exceed 50mph across a large portion of the state Friday afternoon. While this forecast isn't as intense as the one that just hit Maine, it is important to be aware and ready, considering that much of the damage has still not completely been repaired in some Maine communities.

Carson also took a small jab at CMP, who stated earlier this week that the wind storm that caused so much damage statewide was not forecasted correctly.

The message here is simple. You don't need to panic but you also should have a few preparations in place. Stay warm.
