Guns N' Roses added another new song to their set last night, performing the wistful mid-tempo Chinese Democracy track "Catcher in the Rye" during their second show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.

This marks the fifth song from the 2008 album, on which singer Axl Rose was the only original band member to appear, to be performed on the Not in This Lifetime ... tour so far. The tour includes GNR co-founders Slash and Duff McKagan returning to the group full-time for the first time in more than 20 years.

As they've done nearly every show on the tour so far, Guns N' Roses also performed the title track, "Better" and "This I Love" from Democracy last night. Last week, they debuted the slow-burning and rather epic "Sorry," which was not included last night. For comparison, according to Setlist.fm, the group performed eight songs from its 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction (which celebrates a birthday today), seven originals from the two Use Your Illusion albums and five covers.

The fans who captured the video of the performance above were obviously quite happy with this new addition to the band's repertoire. "I can't believe they're playing this!" one enthuses mid-song. And when the final notes fade out, they do their best to make sure everybody around them is fully aware of the importance of the moment: "'Catcher in the Rye,' finally! ... Nobody knows! But it worked, it worked, it worked, it works! F--- it, we waited for this, man. Thank you, thank you!"

Guns N' Roses' Not in This Lifetime ... tour continues on Saturday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. You can get complete concert and ticket information at their official website.
