Maybe it took the Boston Bruins getting out of town to get their game together. Their first road game was a good one, a 6-2 over the Colorado Avalanche.

Jimmy Hayes led the B's attack with a goal and three assists.

Ryan Spooner had a goal and an assist. Zdeno Chara had two assists. Tyler Randall got his first NHL goal.

Jonas Gustavsson made 20 saves in his first start as a Boston Bruin.

The Bruins get their first win (1-3) and move on to play the Arizona Coyotes late Saturday night.
