One of American's most treasured Christmas classics is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase. Chase plays Clark Griswold, a lovable idiot who believes in the Christmas spirit but leading up to the big holiday, his dysfunctional family and the follies that ensue, drive him to his wits end. It's a masterpiece on many levels. Which is why, nearly 30 years after it was made, people are still paying homage to the film right here in Maine.

Shared on Reddit by hellhellbean, the "GRZWLD" mobile has been spotted multiple times around southern Maine in recent weeks. Not only does this person commit to their vanity plate by driving an old station wagon similar to the Griswold-mobile in the movie, but they also take the extra step of placing a Christmas tree on the roof of the car. Oh, and for the record, that Christmas tree still has its roots showing just like in the movie! Crazy detail but if you're going to go for it, might as well go big.

Whomever this person is, thanks for a good laugh. Oh, and we DEFINITELY hope you got your Christmas bonus this year!
