I grew up in Augusta. During freshman and sophomore year, I remember walking to Cony High every school day from Green St. on the west side across the Memorial Bridge to Cony St. on the east side. The bridge stretches across the mighty Kennebec. It was always a pretty cool  view of the river from up there, but never as rad as this time of year.
Giant floating ice chunks are once again getting all jammed up in downtown Augusta. Well, I went up to nearby Hallowell for the weekend and notice that the mighty Kennebec still looks pretty solid on top, even with all the mild weather lately. I gotta believe it won't be long till its starts breaking up like this mesmerizing footage of a similar annual event in Vermont. That's some wicked big pieces of ice tumbling over those falls...Decent!
