In Honor of Westbrook’s Ice Disc: It’s An All-Turntable Morning Show!

Well, the gigantic and now world-famous ice disc in Westbrook has stopped spinning, but WE haven't. In honor of the beautiful "Moon on the River" Westbrook gave to the world this week, we proudly bring you music from nothing but our Blimp turntables on Friday. We have a whole wall of great vinyl from the legendary Blimp archives!

The man who tweaks our turntable whenever he visits is the great Krist Novaselic- bass player in NIRVANA. Yup, last time Krist was here he LOVED the Blimp studio because of all our vinyl. And when he saw our turntable he thought it needed some recalibration. What were we to say...NO? So Krist dug in with Tommy C, Guru and The Captain. He attached a sweet new stylus and re-weighted the system. The only problem was we yanked a wire that caused a HUGE buzz. It took to the next morning for Captain and Celeste to get it fixed...thanks to a listener (Rick) who called in and walked us through how to fix it. Thanks Krist! Thanks, Rick The Listener!
