Over 42,000 spectators witnessed the highest scoring Little League World Series in tournament history as Japan defeated Pennsylvania 18-11.Both teams crushed the ball but Japan collected 22 hits and overcame a 10-2 deficit after the first inning to pull out the win.

After allowing 10 runs in the bottom of the 1st, Japan battled back with 7 of their own in the top of the 2nd with the help of back-to-back-to-back home runs. They took the lead for good with 4 more runs in the third and never looked back as they held Pennsylvania to just one more run the rest of the way.

Japan has cornered the market on Little League World Series championship as they have now won 4 of the last 6.
