Another game, another loss for the Boston Red Sox who saw their losing streak reach 7 games following a 4-2 loss in Houston.Joe Kelly returned to the mound for the Sox and allowed three home runs which accounted for all the Astros scoring. Preston Tucker hit the first two before Evan Gattis added one of his own.

Kelly would pitch 5.1 innings and at times looked good as he finished with 6 strikeouts and just one walk. The loss drops his record to 2-6 as his ERA increases to 5.74.

Once again the Red Sox offense could not string hits together and went 2 for 10 with runners in scoring position. Xander Bogaerts and Dustin Pedroia each drove in a run in the loss.

Boston will try to avoid their second sweep since the all-star game when Wade Miley takes the mound for the series finale tonight.
