LISTEN: The Magical Night When the Big Man and the Boss Came to Lewiston

We count 5 Maine appearances from the "Big Man" Clarence Clemons over the years. There were 3 with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in the 70s, a solo show at the Portland Expo in '82 and playing an entire show with Jerry Garcia at the Ballpark in 1989. It sure would've been great to have that inimitable saxophone blast in Blimpville on more occasions.

However, we are certainly honored and blessed that his musical greatness was experienced here the few times he made it Vacationland. Today would've been Clarence Clemons 77th birthday. So we thought you might enjoy the Magic in the Night that happened in Lewiston at the Central Maine Youth Center in 1977.
