Maine Had Highest Voter Turnout in US

Way to go Maine! No matter if your candidate or cause won or lost...you can all be proud that Maine had the highest voter turnout of any state in Tuesday's midterm elections.

According to University of Florida political scientist Michael McDonald (not the Doobie Brother) 36.6 percent of eligible voters in the US voted. By the way that's the lowest turnout since 1940.

But here in Maine..we were number one with 59.3 percent of eligible voters doing their civic duty and going to the polls. Major props to those of you who listen to us in Central and Northern Maine...who were dealing with tons of snow, ice, winds and power outages. Wicked awesome!

I always remember what the late, great WBLM Cosmic Muffin used to think about voting. The Muffin thought that when you voted that you received an official "Bitch and Moan" card. If you voted, you were allowed to complain. But if you didn't.......

OR...you can take the exact opposite approach of that...and only get to complain if you DIDN'T vote-like George Carlin. Per usual with George, the language in this video  is incredibly offensive, distasteful and brilliant:
