According to News Center Maine, it's time to gather up all of your banned or unusable pesticides to dispose of them safely and for free. The Dept. of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry is urging Mainers to take part in the Obsolete Pesticide Collection Program that has protected our waste system from over 103 tons of pesticides over the past 36 years.

Disposing of weed and bug killers and other similar products safely helps to keep us and our environment healthy. Residents of Portland, Augusta, Bangor and Presque Isle must register by October 18th.
