Kudos to our heroes at the Maine State Police who had their hands full on Sunday night with a chase that started in New Hampshire and ended in Maine  Maine State Police chased and apprehended a man who eluded Rochester, NH PD and fled into Maine. The chase included K9 units, spikes, and the PIT.

According to State Police.

"Tr. Conner Walton was in the area and joined the pursuit as it continued towards Acton. A York County Deputy was able to deploy spikes. The vehicle began to slow down but was still operational and at times driving in the opposing lane. To ensure the safety of the public, Cpl. Macdonald was successfully able to PIT the vehicle and end the chase, however, the operator fled into the woods on foot.

A perimeter was set up with Troopers from Troop A, B, and G along with members of the York County Sheriff’s Office. Tr. Adam Schmidt and K9 Ibo arrived on scene to conduct a track. K9 Ibo tracked the subject approximately one mile through woods, a field across a road, and into another section of woods where K9 Ibo located the male laying down behind a tree.

Arrested was Christopher Landry, 24, of the Sanford/Acton. And boy, the list of charges against this guy is pretty long,,,

Landry was transported to the hospital to be evaluated and then brought to the York County Jail where he was charged with Eluding an Officer (Class C). Landry does not have a valid license and is also on bail conditions. In addition to the Eluding offense, he will also be indicted on the following charges; Criminal Mischief (Class C), Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon (Class C), Unauthorized use of Property (Class D), Failing to Stop for a Law Enforcement Officer (Class E), Violating Conditions of Release (Class E), and Operating after Suspension (Class E).

Landry is currently being held at the York County Jail without bail.
