New England Patriots Fans Voted NFL’s “Most Obnoxious”

According to data released by SOASTA, the leader in performance analytics, New England Patriots fans are clear and away the NFL's "most obnoxious" fans. The data compiled is staggering, 38% of the people polled for this claimed Patriots are easily the most obnoxious.

The stats compiled by SOASTA can be misleading. This research was done with fans being given only 4 options to choose from. The Patriots, Panthers, Cardinals and Broncos were the choices available to those being surveyed. The Broncos came in a distant 2nd when it came to being obnoxious, garnering only 15% of the vote.

This shouldn't come as a huge surprise to New England fans. Social media has become a battleground for defenders and attackers when it comes to the Patriots. The "deflategate" controversy only enhanced Patriots fans position that the team is being unfairly targeted, while fans of opposing teams continuously used as an opportunity to bring up past transgressions. There doesn't seem to be any end in sight in the battle between Pats fans and everyone else.
