toy gun

When I was a kid we played with toy guns. A lot. We were cowboys, Starsky and Hutch and cops and robbers. I still remember the crushing disappointment of popping off the last cap in a roll. Remember that sulfur smell? But times have changed with the increase of violence in our schools. Toy guns have become taboo. A measure has been introduced to officially ban replica guns in schools, in part to avoid a potentially tragic situation if the gun was thought to be real. This comes in response to a situation at a high school in Kittery when a BB gun was found in a students car, it looked like a real gun on school grounds. Is this bill an overreaction, or is it common sense come a knockin'? Fire off your views on our Facebook Fanpage.
