Prior to last week's Patriots vs Chiefs playoff game the K-balls, used in the game by kickers were shipped to the referees hotel in Boston along with air pressure gauges.

At some point is was discovered by hotel staff and the refs that they were left behind at the hotel and contacted the Massachusetts State Police who were also contacted by the league once they discovered balls were missing.
