Good news for the South Portland Olive Garden. The restaurant has reopened after a small fire on Wednesday afternoon. According to fire officials, something caught fire outside the building and spread to the mulch around the building. That, in turn, caused a cooler in the back of the Olive Garden to catch fire. Employees and customers were evacuated until South Portland Firefighters got the blaze under control. No one was hurt.  Health inspectors have given the popular restaurant the green light to reopen, so go get your breadsticks people!

Officials for the Olive Garden told us:

"We have gotten approval from the Health Inspector last night and we will be open for business today without any delay. Most importantly, we are extremely thankful for the quick actions of our first responders who extinguished the small fire swiftly."
