Today, we learned that "National Chocolate Mousse Day" was a thing... but Maine has the biggest damn chocolate moose of them all!

You can find a "national day" for just about anything nowadays. In fact, there's an entire website dedicated to the proposition that all days are created equal, and everything under the sun gets to have its own day. Seriously... check out NationalDayCalendar.com.

So, April 3rd is National Chocolate Mousse Day, apparently to celebrate the delicious chocolate desert loved by so many.

As with most things around here, Maine has everyone else beat!

Forget "chocolate mousse," because we've got a big chocolate moose!

That's right... Maine is home to the famous Len Libby Chocolatiers in Scarborough, and the world's largest solid-chocolate moose. As far as chocolate meese go, he's just a little guy, weighing in at just 1700 pounds.

For those of you who haven't seen Lenny the moose in his natural habitat - go ahead and feast your eyes!
