When Pedro Martinez gets his Hall of Fame plaque this summer, it will have a Boston Red Sox cap on it.

The Baseball Hall of Fame made that announcement today. The Cooperstown folks decide the team cap in consultation with the player.

Martinez began his career in Montreal and then played for the Dodgers, Red Sox, Mets and Phillies.

His best years were with Boston, including three Cy Young Awards and a 2004 World Series Championship.

Randy Johnson and John Smoltz both played for multiple teams as well. Johnson will have an Arizona Diamondbacks hat on his plaque. Smoltz will have an Atlanta Braves hat. Craig Biggio will have a Houston hat.
