MLB has suspended Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda for 10 games for having a foreign substance while pitching against the Red Sox last night. That substance was pine tar and it was on his neck.

Pineda says he will accept the suspension and begin serving it starting tonight.

The Red Sox beat the Yankees 5-1 and John Lackey was nothing short of brilliant for eight innings...yet everyone is talking about Yankee pitcher Michael Pineda.

Pineda was ejected from the game in the second inning for having pine tar on his neck. This was after he had pine tar on his hand and wrist in his last start against Boston. This time, manager John Farrell spoke up and after the umpires checked out Pineda, they threw him out of the game.

For the record, John Lackey waas the clear star of the game. He pitched seven innings, striking out 11, no walks and gave up just one run.
