Assistance Canine Training Services is an all volunteer non-profit that trains and provides lifetime service dogs. Some of their companions are confined to a wheelchair or have mobility issues.

A.C.T.S. needs volunteers in the Portland area to raise puppies and be willing to attend classes to train them to be service animals. This is a two year commitment and A.C.T.S. will pay for the pup's food, training classes and veterinary care.

There will be weekly training sessions and field trips to help socialize the puppy and get them used to different situations such as the North Conway Scenic Railroad, Portland City bus, Fryeburg Fair, Storyland a Songo River Queen boat ride and much more. A generous grant covers all field trips.

There is a beautiful female black puppy that needs a puppy raiser. Read about puppy raising and complete an online application at assistancecanine.org
